Your car tyres lose pressure every day. Be sure to check and pump your tires every 2-3 visits to the gas station. Maintaining proper tire inflation is relatively simple and essential to the overall tire performance of your vehicle.
Effect of an over or under-inflated tyres
Driving with an over or under-inflated tyres is one of the most dangerous things any drivers can do.
Over-inflated tyres give you a bumpier ride. It can cause poor traction, premature wear and affect braking.
Under-inflated tyres can cause your vehicle to increase in fuel consumption, creates uneven tread wear and also affect braking.

Do you know how to check your tyres pressure?
All vehicles have different tire pressures depending on the type, you can find it on your car’s manual. Most vehicles also have tire pressure information printed on a sticker located on the driver-side doorjamb (assuming tyres are cold). Car tyres are considered cold if the vehicle has been parked for more than three hours.
Do not just judge your tyre inflation just be looking at it, be sure to use a tire pressure gauge to get the correct pounds per square inch (PSI) reading of your tyres.
If you’re using the air compressor at a gas station, do park nearer to the compressor so the hose can reach all four tyres.
When checking tire pressure, it is also a good time to check the tread depth and check the tire for damage or irregular wear.
